Biography

Professor Hannah Fry is an Associate Professor at UCL where she studies patterns in human behaviour. Her research applies to a wide range of social problems and questions, from shopping and transport to urban crime, riots and terrorism. With her sass, wit and fearless nature, Hannah's engaging and insightful talks are packed with extraordinary stories told through numbers and cutting edge data that get to the heart of who we are as people. She is the host of ground breaking new BBC Two series: The Secret Genius of Modern Life and a forthcoming Bloomberg series as well as a plethora of other documentaries, radio shows and podcasts. She has written several books and is a regular columnist for The New Yorker. Hannah is known around the world for her joyful ability to bring mathematical ideas to life for audiences of all interests and abilities.
